Although we don’t yet know who the winner of the great Snow White showdown of 2012 will be, there’s a good chance neither will be the reigning fairytale-reboot champ of the year.
Entertainment Weekly has posted the first official image from Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters, starring Gemma Arterton and the suddenly-ubiquitous Jeremy Renner as the eponymous characters.
No longer the chubby candy-lovers of the German folktale, H&G have grown up and are now seeking revenge on the witch that tried to bake them.
Directed by Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow), Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters (in 3D) arrives in Australian cinemas March 1, 2012.
