Lord of the Rings fans, your time has come! The trailer for The Hobbit – Peter Jackson‘s highly anticipated return to Middle Earth – has arrived online.
Martin Freeman stars as Bilbo Baggins in the epic adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s LOTR prequel.

The Hobbit will be split into two films, with the first, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, due for release December 26, 2012. The Hobbit: There and Back Again debuts December 2013.
The two films were scripted by Jackson, Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, and former-director Guillermo del Toro. Lord of the Rings regulars Ian McKellen, Elijah Wood, Cate Blanchett and Andy Serkis reprise their roles from the original trilogy.

I was just thinking “where is Smeagol/Gollum” and there he is at the end. Andy Serkis is a genius. Looks amazing. The attention to detail is extraordinary.
Martin Freeman as the lovely Bilbo? Great casting. Oh, I do hope we get to see Tom Bombadil in this one – hey ho.
