Steven Spielberg to direct Moses biopic?

Steven Spielberg is close to signing on to direct Warner Bros’ epic biopic on the life of Moses, titled Gods and Kings.

According to Deadline, the film is envisioned as a “Braveheart–ish” rendition of the Biblical icon’s life. It spans from Moses’ river-bed adoption, to his eventual forming of an army, and ends with him receiving the Ten Commandments from God (spoiler alert).

WB reportedly want Spielberg to inject the picture with “the gritty reality of Saving Private Ryan“.
