Joe Carnahan – director of Narc, The A-Team, and the new Liam Neeson vs. wolves movie The Grey – has been tapped by MGM and Paramount to helm their reboot of the Charles Bronson classic Death Wish.
According to the L.A. Times, Carnahan will both write and direct the picture.
The 1974 Death Wish starred Bronson as Paul Kersey, an architect who seeks vengeance against his wife and daughter’s attacker.
No doubt Carnahan’s ‘angry man/men against the world’ slate of features proved an adequate audition for the role.
Ridley and Tony Scott’s shingle Scott Free Productions will produce.
