The feature trailer for Marc Webb‘s The Amazing Spider-Man has arrived online, featuring a glut of new footage for those tired of poring over the teaser.
The trailer, as well as some bonus footage and Q&As with the cast and filmmakers, was simultaneously debuted by Sony Pictures across the world at an event entitled The Untold Story Begins.
That untold story involves young Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) trying to solve the mysterious circumstances surrounding his parents death. Also separating Webb’s Spider-Man from Sam Raimi‘s original trilogy is the inclusion of Parker’s first love Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) and the villainous Dr. Curt Connors, a.k.a. The Lizard (Rhys Ifans). Yes, Stacy and Connors did pop up in Raimi’s films, but we won’t hold that against this iteration.
For those who didn’t get to catch the preview screening, you can see the trailer below!
The Amazing Spider-Man 3D arrives in Australian cinemas July 4, 2012. It also stars Martin Sheen and Sally Field.
Can’t wait to see this movie! Would love to see if the new casting can keep up with the previous casts.
It looks phenomenal. But then, the trailers often do. Hail to Emma Stone!
