Michael Keaton meets with makers of Beetlejuice 2

Back in 2011, it was reported that the makers of Beetlejuice 2 were eager to have Michael Keaton reprise his role from Tim Burton‘s 24-year-old comedy classic.

Apparently, that’s not just wishful thinking! Writer-producer Seth Grahame-Smith told Shock Til You Drop he met with Keaton about the project just last week.

“[He’s] been wanting to do it for 20 years and he’ll talk to anybody about it who will listen. I really told him, I have a huge reverence for Tim and a huge reverence for that film in general. I don’t think we should do it if we s*** on the legacy.  He agrees. So, right now, it remains to be seen, I have a couple of story ideas, but we’re very early out.”
