Chronicle sequel in the works

Project X isn’t the only recent found-footage flick getting a sequel. Fox has recruited screenwriter Max Landis to write a follow-up to his low budget superhero flick Chronicle, Deadline reports.

Although the premise of Chronicle certainly lends itself to the sequel treatment, the original film ends with a certain amount of finality (no spoilers, don’t worry).

Of course, when the $12 million film grossed more than $100 million worldwide, a second instalment was inevitable.

It is unknown if director Josh Trank will return, as he is current being courted by Sony to direct a Venom movie, spun-off from their Spider-Man series.
