It was reported last week that Owen Wilson was considering a role opposite Tina Fey in the upcoming indie Admission. According to the L.A. Times, Wilson is out, but Paul Rudd might be in.
Fey is set to star as an unmarried Ivy League admissions officer who sparks up a potentially disastrous relationship with a 17-year-old. Rudd will play a teacher who went to school with Fey’s character, and has been harbouring a crush ever since.
No deal has yet been struck with Rudd, but he is reportedly very interested in the part.
Paul Weitz will direct the film, based on Jean Hanff Korelitz’s novel of the same name. It will shoot once production on Fey’s TV series 30 Rock wraps in May.
