Joss Whedon has been kinda preoccupied lately (maybe you’ve heard of this Avengers thing), but that doesn’t mean he’s forgotten about all the Dr. Horrible fans out there.
Speaking to Wired at SXSW, Whedon revealed that production on a big-screen sequel to his hit internet series could begin in the American summer.
“We are hard on it. It’s been a really tough year — couple of years — partially, I’m happy to say, because of work… We’re stuck, basically, at this one part in the process. All of us are looking at this summer as the time when we can go, ‘Hey, you know what? We’ve got a little free time, let’s get unstuck’.”
Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog featured Neil Patrick Harris as the eponymous lovelorn villain; it also featured Nathan Fillion as his nemesis Captain Hammer, and Felicia Day as the object of their joint affections. You can watch all Three Acts here!
I was really excited until they said “big screen sequel”
Dr. Horrible isn’t a big screen story. I’d love to see another web film.
