Teaser Debut: Cosmopolis

Don’t call it a comeback! The French teaser trailer for David Cronenberg‘s Cosmopolis indicates a return to form for the director, who has spent much of the last decade “normalling”, particularly in contrast to the body-horror films he specialised in during the 1980s.

Based on Don DeLillo’s novel of the same name, Cosmopolis follows Robert Pattinson young billionaire over the course of one particularly bad day.

Deadline suggest the picture is a lock for the Cannes Film Festival, hence the Frenchness of the below clip.

Check it out, but be warned… it’s NSFW.

A definite Enter the Void vibe there. We’re intrigued.

Cosmopolis also stars Juliette Binoche, Mathieu Amalric, Samantha Morton, and Paul Giamatti. It does not yet have an Australian release date.
