First look at Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis in The Campaign

Entertainment Weekly has the first image of political competitors Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis in The Campaign (formerly titled Dog Fight).

In the Jay Roach directed comedy, Ferrell plays southern Congressman Cam Brady, who risks losing his seat when he becomes embroiled in a sex scandal. Enter Marty Huggins (Galifianakis), an outsider with an eye on the prize.

Here is Ferrell’s description of Brady’s “ethical slip”: ”I leave a highly sexual message on a very ­Christian family’s answering machine, thinking I’m calling my mistress.”

The Campaign also stars Josh Lawson, Jason Sudeikis, and John Lithgow.

It arrives in Australian cinemas August 9, 2012.
