Trailer Debut: Total Recall

Hollywood can remake it for you wholesale. The trailer for Len Wiseman‘s Total Recall reboot has arrived online.

Colin Farrell takes on the role of Quaid, made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger in Paul Verhoeven‘s 1990 feature of the same name. Both are adapted from Philip K. Dick’s short story We Can Remember It For You Wholesale.

After employing a company in the distant future to implant his memory with a spy past, Quaid becomes embroiled in a conspiracy and begins to wonder whether it’s simply part of the ‘Recall’ experience, or if he is indeed a secret agent after all.

Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale, and Bryan Cranston also star.

Check out the trailer and share your thoughts below.

You can also watch it in HD over at Apple.

Total Recall arrives in Australian cinemas September 6, 2012.

Discuss: How does it look in comparison to the 22-year-old original?

  4. It LOOKS awesome alright, let’s wait and see. Is this Farrell’s second remake movie that use the same dialogue from the original?

  5. I wonder if this time they’ll copy the book ending. It’s one of the funniest endings I’ve read.
