Ben Kingsley is close to signing on as the villain in Iron Man 3, Variety reports.
Filming begins on the Marvel sequel in May, and will see Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, and Don Cheadle back as Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, Black Widow and Rhodey respectively (obviously).
Though it’s unknown who Kingsley would play, rumours abound that it will be the iconic villain Mandarin.
Shane Black will direct, taking over from Jon Favreau. Iron Man 3 hits cinemas May 2013.
