Jessica Chastain in talks for Iron Man 3

Jessica Chastain is in talks to join the cast of Iron Man 3, Deadline reports.

The Oscar-nominated redhead would potentially threaten Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) relationship with his own raven-haired flame, Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), by playing a “sexy scientist every bit as smart as Tony Stark.”

As reported yesterday, Guy Pearce might join the Shane Black-directed pic as a morally dubious geneticist, while Ben Kingsley is still mulling over the lead villain role.

Iron Man 3 hits cinemas May 2013.
