Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained fires off new shots

New images from Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained have been released, showing Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio getting their Spaghetti Western on.

Foxx stars as Django, a slave who is freed by a German bounty hunter played by Waltz. The pair team up to rescue Django’s wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) from plantation owner Calvin Candie (DiCaprio) and his right-hand man Ace Woody.

We’ve already had a sneak peak of the bold costumes back in April. The new images, courtesy of CinemaTeaser (via The Playlist), show wide shots of Foxx and Waltz on horses, out the front of the saloon (as well as a lush interior) and what looks to be a confrontation between DiCaprio and Foxx.

Early footage was screened at Cannes to acclaim and the rumour mill is suggesting audiences heading along to Prometheus might be treated to a teaser trailer.

Django Unchained arrives in Australian cinemas January 24, 2013.
