Jon Favreau is about to separate the men from the boys.
The Iron Man helmer is the front-runner to direct the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys: The Story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Variety reports.
Oscar-nominee John Logan (Hugo) is adapting the rags-to-riches tale of the singing sensations for the screen. GK Films acquired the rights two years ago, and they want Favreau to take the reins.
It had previously been reported that Favreau would follow-up his box office disappointment Cowboys and Aliens with Magic Kingdom; a Michael Chabon-penned adventure in which Disneyland literally comes to life.
Depending on the scope of the Jersey Boys movies, Favreau could potentially direct while waiting for the big-budget Magic Kingdom to come together.
Let’s not forget Favreau penned Swingers, so he might not be the craziest choice for this. He will next be seen starring in – but not directing – Iron Man 3.
