Ethan Hawke has confirmed in an interview with Indiewire that a follow-up to Richard Linklater’s Before Sunrise and Before Sunset will shoot in the American summer.
When asked for location specifics, Hawke admitted, “I’ve gotten into trouble, so I’m sworn to secrecy. The biggest change between this one and the last one is the Internet. The first time we did it, we didn’t have any pressure; nobody gave a s**t.”
Hawke spoke to AlloCine in 2011 about working with Linklater and Julie Delpy again, saying “All three of us have been having similar feelings that we’re ready to revisit those characters. There’s nine years between the first two movies and, if we made the film next summer, it would be nine years again so we’ve really started thinking that would be a good thing to do.”
He revealed these small snippets while promoting his new film, Pawel Pawlikowski’s The Woman in the Fifth, also starring Kristin Scott Thomas.

A trilogy now? Cool. Just trying to work out what the title could be. “Before Midday” maybe? Or “Before Midnight”?
