Twilight won’t be rebooted anytime soon

Summit Entertainment has told Deadline there are no plans to reboot the soon-to-conclude Twilight saga.

Rumours have been swirling online – as rumours as wont to do – that Summit’s parent company Lionsgate plan to reboot the vampiric love story on the fifth anniversary of the original film’s release.

Summit’s official comment is thus: ”We are not remaking Twilight. We will happily support [book author] Stephanie Meyer if she decides to proceed in any way. But this will be the last one unless that should change.”

Bloody Disgusting insists the reboot is indeed in the works.

The fifth and final (for now) Twilight film, Breaking Dawn Part 2, hits Australian cinemas November 16, 2012.

Discuss: Keen to see a reboot?

  1. Personally I’m not liking the Breaking Dawn films. I think the reboot will just fail…

  2. The only Twilight movie I would like to see after BDII is Alice and Jasper before the Cullen’s… I’m kinda over the twi Hype of it now
