Jim Carrey won’t star in Dumb and Dumber sequel

Lloyd Christmas has officially walked away from Harry Dunne.

Jim Carrey tells ET Online that he has moved on from the Farrelly brothers‘ long-gestating sequel to their 1994 hit Dumb and Dumber, citing frustrating with studios New Line and Warner Bros.

Carrey was one of the biggest cheerleaders for a Dumb and Dumber sequel. Late last year it was revealed both Peter and Bobby Farrelly were finally working on it as a follow-up to The Three Stooges.

But with the studios dragging their feet, Carrey revealed he could wait no longer.

He told ET, “I would have thought Dumb and Dumber Too was a no-brainer, after all it’s implied in the title.”
