Charlie Sheen to play American President in Machete Kills

Charlie Sheen is following in the footsteps of his father Martin (excluding all his accomplishments, the widespread industry respect, and absence of public meltdowns).

Robert Rodriguez revealed via Twitter that he had cast Sheen Jr. as the President of the United States in his Machete sequel, Machete Kills. Sheen memorably waved a machete atop the roof of the Live Nation building in Los Angeles to protest his canning from Two and a Half Men, which is a totally reasonable response.

Martin, of course, played dream President Bartlett in The West Wing. 

We … look forward? … to seeing Charlie’s policies enacted.

Machete Kills stars Danny Trejo in the title role, Jessica Alba, and Mel Gibson as the villain.
