Michael K. Williams joins Steve McQueen’s Twelve Years a Slave

The Wire and Boardwalk Empire‘s Michael K. Williams has joined the cast of Steve McQueen‘s new movie Twelve Years a Slave, Deadline reports.

Williams will play a “mutinous slave” in the adaptation of Solomon Northup’s 1853 novel.

The pic marks McQueen’s follow up to Shame, and will star Michael Fassbender, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Brad Pitt, Garret Dillahunt, Paul Dano, and Taran Killam.
