The trailer for raunchy comedy Bachelorette has arrived online, featuring Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher, and Lizzy Caplan as the worst bridesmaids since, well, Bridesmaids.
The main trio are invited to the wedding of an old friend (Rebel Wilson) they used to call ‘Pigface’. Unnerved by the fact she is getting married before them, they go on a drug and alcohol-infused rampage that leads to the destruction of the wedding dress.
Reports from Sundance say that this is a very dark comedy indeed (seriously – do not expect another Bridesmaids). The humour in the trailer falls a little flat, but we remain intrigued.
Directed by Leslye Headland (and based on her off-Broadway production of the same name), Bachelorette arrives in U.S. cinemas this September, with an Australian release to follow.
