Teaser Debut: Life of Pi

The first trailer for Ang Lee‘s highly anticipated adaptation of Yann Martel’s beloved novel Life Of Pi was recently released and it’s certainly visually sumptuous.

After the first teaser image popped up a few months ago we all wondered how Ang Lee was going to turn what was a seemingly unfilmable novel into a movie, and this trailer gives hope that he may have succeeded. Filled with gorgeous, hyper-colour imagery, Life Of Pi has the potential to be a big, feel-good fantasy film. I’m really curious as to how this turns out.

Starring Suraj Sharma, as Pi, Gerard Depardieu, and Irrfan Khan, Life of Pi (3D) hits Australian cinemas December 20, 2012.
