It seems Dan Aykroyd‘s ceaseless desire to make another Ghostbusters movie cannot be stopped by Bill Murray‘s constant nay-saying and unwillingness to appear in the thing.
Speaking to Metro, Aykroyd categorically stated that Murray “won’t be involved” in the long gestating sequel.
But the wheels of production keep on turning, with a new writer on board, and shooting tentatively scheduled for next year.
On Bill’s absence:
“It’s sad but we’re passing it on to a new generation. Ghostbusters 3 can be a successful movie without Bill. My preference would be to have him involved but at this point he doesn’t seem to be coming and we have to move on. It’s time to make the third one.”
Without Bill the movie would be useless…. wouldn’t be as good as the others. And I will not be watching it and I am sure others will not watch it either.
