Teaser Debut: Zero Dark Thirty

The teaser trailer for Kathryn Bigelow‘s ‘Hunt for Bin Laden’ movie Zero Dark Thirty has arrived online.

Though we don’t get to see much of the cast – which includes (deep breath) Kyle Chandler, Joel Edgerton, Jason Clarke, Chris Pratt, Jessica Chastain, Mark Strong, Mark Duplass, Jennifer Ehle, and Edgar Ramirez – the flick’s motives are made clear: we’re going to see the real story of how Navy SEAL Team 6 found and killed al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden.

And there’s reason to believe the makers might indeed have the inside scoop. An investigation of the White House was almost instigated when it was suggested Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal had unprecedented access to previously classified reports.

The picture’s release date was delayed until after the U.S. Presidential elections, amid criticisms that it would seem to be a piece of pro-Obama propaganda.

So much juicy controversy, and the movie isn’t even out yet. It hits Australian cinemas in December.
