Though it’s been on his ‘To Do’ list for years, Cameron Crowe is finally getting to work on an adaptation of David Sheff’s best-seller Beautiful Boy: A Father’s Journey Through His Son’s Addiction.
According to The Wrap, Crowe is set to direct Beautiful Boy once he wraps the romantic-comedy Deep Tiki, starring Emma Stone.
Beautiful Boy is a unique project, in that it will take elements from David Sheff’s memoir, as well as that of his son Nic, entitled Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines.
Paramount purchased the rights to both books in 2008.
Discuss: Glad to see Crowe back from his exile with a vengeance?
