Teaser Debut: Everyday

For the past five years, Michael Winterbottom has been shooting a movie with John Simm and Shirley Henderson. Finally, that movie is ready to be shared with the world.

Everyday stars Simms as an imprisoned father, and Henderson as his wife who must care for their four children during his incarceration.

The picture was shot in dribs and drabs over the past half-decade to make the passing of time behind bars seem more realistic.

A short teaser has been put together ahead of the flick’s debut at the Toronto International Film Festival. Though it’s light on footage, it packs a subtle emotional punch.

Here’s hoping we don’t have to wait a further five years for it to hit our shores.
