Entourage film script close to completion

Entourage creator Doug Ellin is close to completing the script for a feature film version of his hit HBO showDeadline reports.

The real news from that report, however, is that people are apparently bugging Ellin on the street to make the movie: “Everywhere I go, people ask me, ‘Where’s the movie?'” Really?

Ellin is under the pump, thanks to the urging of the show’s executive producers Mark Wahlberg and Steven Levinson, and expects to complete the script “by Sunday (I pray).”

The very idea of Entourage needing a big-screen addendum to tie-up all the series’ loose ends is as hilarious a concept as we’ve heard of late. Ellin says the script begins six months after the final episode, and promises that the feature would primarily concern the friendship of its five male leads. Hopefully it will also return to skewering Hollywood as it did so expertly in the early seasons.

No official deals with HBO or the cast have been made, so nothing is yet set in stone. But, if we’ve learned anything from Entourage, everything will work out just fine for Vinnie Chase and friends.

Discuss: Are you still keen for an Entourage movie?
