Trailer Debut: Identity Thief

Melissa McCarthy steals Jason Bateman‘s credit card and gets up to some mischief in the trailer for Identity Thief.

Bateman’s Horrible Bosses director Seth Gordon runs the show here, working from a screenplay by The Hangover Part 2‘s Craig Mazin.

Those behind-the-camera credentials don’t necessarily instil blind faith in the project, but the teaming-up of Bateman and McCarthy is certainly an appealing prospect.

Just remember: McCarthy seemed wildly annoying in the trailer for Bridesmaids too, and look how that turned out.

Identity Thief hits cinemas early 2013.
