The teaser for Gore Verbinski’s super-expensive Lone Ranger has arrived online.
Though the project was originally nixed by Disney on account on the inflated price tag, Verbinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer whittled it down to something more palatable.
The trailer doesn’t reveal much, except for the fact that the movie exists; frankly, considering its troubled production history, that’s more amazing than any spectacular action sequence.
Johnny Depp stars as Tonto, sidekick to Armie Hammer’s title character. Helena Bonham Carter and Ruth Wilson also appear in this new take on the old legend.
The Lone Ranger hits cinemas May 2013.
