Liam Neeson and his Taken 2 director Olivier Megaton both suggest the adventures of unlucky CIA agent Bryan Mills have come to a close. However, the recent box office success of the sequel has suddenly inspired the creatives behind the film to think of another scenario in which someone close to him could be, well, taken.
Screenwriter Robert Mark Kamen revealed plans for a sequel to Hollywood.com.
“We didn’t start talking about [Taken 3] until we saw the numbers… But then we said, ‘Oh, okay. I think we should do a third one.’ And Fox wants us to do a third one.”
But where would the plot go?
“We’ve taken everyone we can take — it’s going to go in another direction. Should be interesting.”
Meanwhile, here’s what Neeson had told Collider about the prospects of the series continuing:
“I think this is the end. I mean how many times can she be taken? I mean, it’s bad parenthood, really, after that.”
Wise words.
