Trailer Debut: Django Unchained (with our first look at Sam Jackson and Jonah Hill)

Another trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Django Unchained is released, giving us the best look at this audacious film yet.

This exciting trailer shows us a much wider picture of the world the film is set in, showcasing several scenes with a greying Samuel L Jackson doing his best wise old Morgan Freeman impression. We also get a glimpse of Jonah Hill who entered the film just recently.

But for me, far and away the star of this trailer (and hopefully the film) is DiCaprio, who is gleefully chewing up the scenery as an evil plantation owner. Seeing him let loose in such a playful role looks truly exciting after his recent string of grumpy, tormented characters.

“I mean, why don’t they just rise up and kill the whites!?”

Django Unchained stars Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz. It arrives in cinemas January 2013.
