The poster for Park Chan-wook’s English language debut Stoker has been released and it’s officially the most gorgeous film poster I’ve seen in quite some time.
Cinephiles around the world have eagerly been awaiting the release of Stoker, which stars Nicole Kidman and Mia Wasikowska.
Park has been a trailblazing Korean filmmaker over the last decade with titles like Oldboy, Thirst, and Joint Security Area under his belt. It’s going to be fascinating to watch not only his first English language film, but also the first he is directing that he didn’t also write.
This gloriously lush, hand-drawn poster adds to the excitement over a film that will include original pieces of music by Philip Glass and a score by Clint Mansell.
The screenplay by Wentworth Miller (yep, that guy from Prison Break) is apparently a cross between a horror film, family drama and psychological thriller, with influences as varied as Bram Stoker’s Dracula to Hitchcock’s Shadow Of A Doubt.
Stoker hits cinemas early 2013.
