Jersey Boys movie delayed due to studio turnaround

The film adaptation of hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys, based on the music of Franki Valli and the Four Seasons, is not as close as we had hoped.

According to Variety, Warner Bros has parted ways with the project, on account of the proposed budget and perceived limited international appeal of the tale.

Jon Favreau was set to direct the pic, based on John Logan’s screenplay.

Though casting had already begun and a January 2013 shoot planned, the flick is now being shopped around to other studios.

More news as it develops.

  1. Jeez, I know that Noo Joisy has had a bit of a battering in the past week but how much more falsetto can the world take?! My upper-range hearing is diminishing with age but I still hope the project is shelved permanently. Then I suppose we’ll be treated to ‘Jersey Boys On Ice”.
