Harrison Ford is open to the idea of putting the famous vest back on and playing Han Solo in Disney’s upcoming Star Wars sequel, Entertainment Weekly report.
According to an unnamed – but supposedly reliable – source, Harrison Ford would consider doing his Han Solo thing again. Of course, this would be pending script and director announcements.
Ford has been infamously chilly on his historic role, considering it to be one of the weaker things he had ever done. He even tried to get his character killed off in Return To The Jedi but was denied by series czar George Lucas.
Ford is currently at the ripe old age of 70, so while it’s exciting to imagine seeing Han Solo in the Star Wars world again, we need to ask ourselves if we really want to see a 72-year-old Han.
On the other hand, if it means we get to see a greying, cranky old Chewbacca, count me in!
Star Wars Episode 7 is set for release in 2015.
