Nicolas Cage not starring in Expendables 3 (yet)

There is no truth to the rumour that Nicolas Cage is confirmed for The Expendables 3, Deadline reports.

Rumours flitted across the web yesterday when a Sylvester Stallone fanpage on Facebook suggested Cage, “a master actor who gives a veneer intellectual group” (whatever that means), had joined the cast of the action sequel.

Stallone has since come out to say he “has no knowledge of Nic Cage joining Expendables 3.”

This is, of course, terrible news.

We know he has a busy schedule, but please don’t let this be the project Nicolas turns down.
