In the battle of the competing Steve Jobs biopics, jOBS doesn’t seem to have much going for it. It stars Ashton Kutcher, isn’t written by Aaron Sorkin, and has an annoyingly punctuated title. That said, it is destined to win at least one competition in the showdown: being the first to hit screens.
The first image of Kutcher as the late Apple founder has been released ahead of its debut at Sundance in January, where it will close the festival.
The indie flick, written by Matt Whiteley and directed by Joshua Michael Stern, chronicles a 30-year period in the tech icon’s life.
Sony’s Steve Jobs biopic – penned by Sorkin, based on the best-selling biography – is said to be comprised of three 30-minute sequences.
We’re intrigued by both, but, as Highlander reminded us, there can only be one.
