A brand new feature trailer for Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby has arrived. And good news: the modern music is intact!
Though Jay-Z and Kanye West’s track No Church in the Wild was previously featured in the first teaser, this new clip has plenty of brand new footage to sate fans disappointed by its six month delay from Christmas 2012 to May 2013.
That footage includes Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) frantically relating his life story to Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire), bedding his teen sweetheart Daisy (Carey Mulligan), and raising the suspicion of her husband Tom (Joel Edgerton).
Look closely, and you’ll also see Isla Fisher (in one particularly spoilerific moment too).
Say what you will about Baz’s style; I think this looks like the cat’s pyjamas.
