John Jarratt confirms Wolf Creek 2 is currently shooting

John Jarratt surprised many when he revealed to the Sydney Morning Herald that he is currently shooting the sequel to Wolf Creek.

On the press tour for his small role in Tarantino’s latest, Django Unchained, Jarratt – with his fake tattoos and hair dye, looking very much like his psycho serial killer alter-ego Mick Taylor – confirmed they had already started production on the film.

The long-awaited sequel to the 2005 hit had been in and out of pre-production for a couple of years, until Screen Australia stepped in late in 2012 to solve the funding crisis.

Now shooting in the Flinders Ranges and around Adelaide, the sequel has writer-director Greg McClean returning and promising to freak out a whole new generation of filmgoers.
