Trailer Debut: Inside Llewyn Davis

Thank folk for that! The trailer for the Coen brothers’ latest picture, Inside Llewyn Davis, has finally arrived.

Loosely based on the life of Dave Van Ronk, it stars Oscar Isaac as Llewyn Davis, a folk singer trying to make it in Greenwich Village during the 1960s.

Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, John Goodman, F. Murray Abraham, Garrett Hedlund, as well as Girls alumnus Adam Driver and Alex Karpovsky also star.

The trailer has quite a freewheeling vibe to it (at least, relative to other Coen films). But am I the only one who feels that persistent, tightly wound dread lingering in the background? Surely not.

Inside Llewyn Davis does not yet have a local release date.
