Amanda Seyfried eyed for Seth MacFarlane’s follow-up to Ted

Amanda Seyfried is in talks for a role in Seth MacFarlane’s next film, according to The Hollywood Reporter‘s sources.

After the unexpected success of Ted, MacFarlane is storming ahead with his second feature, a western comedy titled A Million Ways To Die In The West.

This Blazing Saddles style comedy follows a meek farmer (played by MacFarlane) who loses his girlfriend after cowardly escaping a gunfight.

Charlize Theron has been cast as the wife of an outlaw who helps teach the farmer how to shoot.

Seyfried’s star has slowly been rising over the last couple of years, and after her great turn in Les Miserables – plus an upcoming starring role in a biopic based on the life of pornstar Linda Lovelace – it looks like 2013 will only increase her appeal.

Whether or not audiences will keep enjoying MacFarlane’s brand of humour is another story.
