James Marsden joins Anchorman 2

Everyone’s favourite handsome person – and the love of Liz Lemon’s life! – James Marsden has joined the cast of Anchorman 2, Deadline reports.

Plot details are tightly under wraps, but Marsden is said to be playing a rival anchor of Ron Burgundy’s (Will Ferrell).

Kristen Wiig is also a new addition to the cast, playing the wife of dim-witted lamp lover Brick Tamland (Steve Carell).

Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate are all set to return for the long-awaited sequel.

Adam McKay directs, with Judd Apatow back producing.

It hits cinemas December 2013.
