The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II honoured as Worst Picture at Razzies

The Razzies didn’t let The Twilight Saga slink off without due recognition in their annual pre-Oscars shaming and celebrating of the year’s worst films and performances.

The final instalment in the series, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II, took home an impressive seven awards, not able to emulate the success of the previous year’s Jack and Jill, which won in all ten categories.

While Robert Pattinson was saved the title of Worst Actor by another poor Adam Sandler effort – this time in That’s My Boy – Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner weren’t as lucky, taking home Worst Actress and Worst Supporting Actor respectively. Stewart’s performances in Snow White and the Huntsman and Twilight both contributed to the honour.

The film also won Worst Picture, Worst Director for Bill Condon, Worst Screen Ensemble, Worst Remake, Rip-off or Sequel, and Worst Screen Couple for the creepy Taylor Lautner and Mackenzie Foy relationship that is wrong on so many levels.

Despite its landslide representation at the Razzies, I’m sure the cast of Twilight won’t be crying themselves to sleep any time soon.

Rather, they’ll be rolling around in their piles of cash a la Scrooge McDuck.
