The upcoming Rise of the Planet Of The Apes sequel, titled Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, is getting more and more interesting. ComingSoon reports that Gary Oldman has just signed on to play the leader of a human resistance group.
The film, set 15 years after Rise, purportedly presents a world where the apes have completely taken over the Earth after defeating the humans.
We are introduced to a small group of scientists who form a rebellion to take back the power.
Directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In), we have high hopes for this sequel.
Oldman joins Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty) and Kodi Smit-McPhee in what promises to be a fascinatingly subversive new take on the Apes mythology.
It hits cinemas May 2014.
