Joss Whedon follows up The Avengers with, of all things, a black-and-white adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.
Whedon shot the picture over 12 days in Santa Monica while The Avengers was in post-production.
Basically, in the time it took to render Hulk in just a couple of scenes, Whedon called up his friends and made this little movie.
The film features regular Whedonites Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Clark Gregg, Nathan Fillion, Fran Kranz, and many others.
Acker and Denisof star as Beatrice and Benedick, “the world’s least likely lovers headed for their inevitable tumble into love.”
We first heard about this in October of 2011. Sadly, it does not yet have a local release date.
