First official images from The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The first official image of Jamie Foxx in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been released and it’s the grand spectacle of Django himself with a big, fat comb-over.

Foxx is set to play the villain, Electro, in the upcoming sequel. Earlier in the month pictures taken from the set were leaked onto the internet showing Foxx in his full bad-guy make-up, so this picture at least acts as a nice contrast. But really, it’s just Jamie Foxx with a weird hair-do.

Before you assume that this sequel plans to take a fresh path through the Spider-Man mythos –  unlike the previous film which was an odd carbon copy of Raimi’s first Spider-Man – check out the other official image released. Here we find Chronicle actor Dane DeHaan playing Harry Osborne a character, well defined by James Franco in the first trilogy.

Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 – starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone – will hit our screens mid 2014.
