Tom Cruise abandons The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Seems like you could make a movie out of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.’s troubled production history.

Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise is the latest actor to abandon the project, Deadline reports.

Guy Ritchie is set to helm the adaptation of the classic TV series for Warner Bros, which would have starred Cruise and Armie Hammer.

Though Hammer is – tentatively – still on board, Cruise has exited to focus on Mission: Impossible 5.

George Clooney, Bradley Cooper, Joel Edgerton, and Channing Tatum are all names that have previously been tied to this pic.

Steven Soderbergh was long attached to direct.

  1. I am a Cruise fan and was surprised by his performance as Jack Reacher. He carried off the role much better than I thought he would!! Good for him as he seems to play the same character in each performance!
