Amanda Seyfried has signed on for Noah Baumbach’s next directorial offering While We’re Young, The Wrap reports.
While Baumbach’s latest Indie, Frances Ha, continues to do well on the festival circuit and in limited theatrical release overseas, he’s already focused on his next project, which has Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts and Adam Driver (Girls) attached.
Names like James Franco, Jesse Eisenberg and Greta Gerwig have exited the project since development began.
Seyfried will pair up with Driver as a 20-something free-spirited couple who befriend an older 40-something couple (Stiller and Watts) and encourage them to loosen up.
While Seyfried’s character is said to make homemade ice cream – sending alarm bells ringing of a potentially twee film – we feel assured that Baumbach has another dramatic comedy in the vein of Greenberg on his hands.
No release date has been set yet and production is said to begin later this year.
