Earlier this week we saw the poster, and now we have the first trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
In it, we get our first glimpse of the titular dragon, voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch, not to mention new cast-members Evangeline Lilly (Tauriel), Lee Pace (Thranduil), and Luke Evans (Bard the Bowman). I suppose those names will mean something to fans of the book.
Oh, and Orlando Bloom’s Legolas pops up too!
The second instalment of Peter Jackson’s Hobbit trilogy, starring Martin Freeman and based on the Lord of the Rings prequel by J.R.R. Tolkien, arrives in cinemas this December.
