The teaser trailer for Ridley Scott’s all-star thriller The Counselor has arrived online, and the verdict is in: guilty … of being entertaining.
Despite starring Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, and Javier Bardem, the real star here is screenwriter Cormac McCarthy.
This marks the first feature film script from the Pulitzer Prize winning author, who previously saw his books No Country for Old Men and The Road adapted with great success. (All The Pretty Horses? Not so much.)
Fassbender plays the title character; a lawyer who gets embroiled in the world of drug trafficking.
It’s set for release this October. Just in time for Oscar consideration.
